rachel,

when kelly was visiting, we would wake up in the morning on the days we stayed home, have some cereal, and watch mister rogers.

and it was really amazing. I'm serious. The man is amazing, and every word meant something. In one scene, the little tiger guy (I can't remember his name right now) asked Lady Aberline something about how the world works, how everything came to be, and she said "Well, let me tell you what *I* believe" and she sang a little song about how she believes God made the world, and she referred to that God as both a He and a She. Then another person sang the song, only he sang about Love instead of God.

I had no idea that Mister Rogers was that forward thinking. :) And every word he said encouraged curiousity, honesty, acceptance, and self-love. I never realized when I watched him when I was little, what a big thing that was. I think a lot of adults could benefit from watching Mister Rogers once in a while. People forget to love themselves, and they forget to feel their sense of wonder. Maybe Mister Rogers could remind even them.

:)
