conundrums:

the apartment is in desperate need of a vaccuuming. (petrie makes a gigantic mess!) i want to vaccuum. however, it is much too hot to do it right now.

because it is so hot, i would like to go for a swim. however, it is too hot to bike to the water.

....I think though, that i might brave the biking, and save the vaccuuming for later, when it has cooled off a bit.
