The Senate is holding hearings on marriage next week. According to the email, "On Tuesday, September 4, they will assess whether current laws are "enough" to prevent same-sex couples from being able to legally marry, or if further measures are "needed" (such as a constitutional amendment)." That means now is the time to write letters and send emails in defense of same-sex marriages!

i went with ryan early this morning to get the oil changed and the tires rotated at the toyota dealer in newport.

now i am back, good and hungry, and feeling very sleepy. but i am stuck between wanting to go back to bed and wanting to stay up and eat and do things. i keep not doing either, because i can't decide.

sometimes i am so scared to be on a road here. sometimes i am much more scared of ryan's having to drive for 2 hours every day to get to work and back. no one should be allowed to drive around here except us. :(

I listened to the whole Rent soundtrack today, and now I'm listening to Tori. Listening to this stuff is like visiting an old friend. I like it.

I got my IUD yesterday. I am recovering nicely, hopefully I'll feel all better by tomorrow. No more estrogen and pill taking for me for 5 whole years. :) Also, I now know that my uterus is 7 cm tall - isn't that cute? :)



I could not find a good picture in English, but hey, there it is. The actual IUD is the thing in the fake uterus model. It's teeny, maybe twice the size of how it looks in the picture.
