i feel a lot better than i did last night when i was too tired. i slept an obscenely long time, longer than i should have given the work I have to do...but I think it was worth it. :)
I just wish there was sun. Cloudliness does not make me feel very industrious or peppy.

which means i'm crouched up on the floor on our temporary "couch" (a folded up blanket in front of our TV and computer, both on the floor :))

drinking coffee sweetened with maple syrup, because the sugar is still in the other apartment with all the other baking stuff

now i've got to go get ready for stuff, i have stuff to do on campus like looking for a babysitting (or otherwise) job and counseling and changing my address at the registrar...and i have 45 minutes to get ready and no idea which box some of my stuff is in. wish me luck! :)

Ri has a Republican governor now, btw. I shudder in horror at this. We have mostly Democratic representation here otherwise, though. I still shudder in further horror at the state of the nation at the moment...Republicans control everything and it seems a dangerous time for this, and I worry about what could happen. I kept my "I Voted" sticker on all day yesterday, while I was at school. I've had political stuff, moving stuff, and school stuff cluttering up my brain for days now. I need a retreat. :)

everything's split like, 50/50. this means every vote really does make a difference...

So on Tuesday, if you're old enough to vote, educate yourself about what's going on and then vote, for heaven's sake!

i can't believe i could have voted when i was 18 and i didn't do it. i can't believe i was so clueless and apathetic. if more people my age voted instead of just complaining about the way things are, things could change for the better, you know?
