i catch up with everyone, okay? OD, blogger, LJ, IM, all that stuff. you just wait, people, i'm going on a posting and reading spree. ;)

tomorrow is also study-for-tests day! but that's okay, because the studying just got more managable than it was before, and tests are going well so far so i don't feel as overwhelmed as i did last week.

i bought ice cream at the grocery store yesterday - time to go try it! :)

I IS PIERCED

it was the best piace, if any of you get pierced you should drive all the way to RI to do it ;) they were very nice people and they were utterly immaculate. it was great. :) i clean it with salt water soaks and rinse it with saline (three times a day) and not alcohol or peroxide or anything because they say it is too harsh and not meant to be used internally (and when you clean a hole in yourself, you are dealing with the internal. :)) it is a little sore, but not bad at all....as long as I don't bend over too quickly or run into anything.

;) so i would post pictures, but i still can't do that, so if anyone is dying to see i can send pictures, or ally has some already. yay for belly button rings!

so you know, i haven't been feeling good (i'll spare you the details) but i went to the doctor and one of the thing she told me to do was try to drink more, because i know i am bad about that. and so ryan just brought me a giant huge glass full of water just now.

and he said i had to drink it by the time he is done with the dishes. which might take half an hour. i don't know if i am able to do such a thing, but i will try! :) wish me luck! i don't know quite what happens to me if i don't, except dehydration...:)

we have a windows computer in our house now! because ryan's friend had ones he wasn't using and he sent us one! :-O And so we are setting it up. This is good because on the Windows computer I can use Kazaa and play games and things. so yay for both a linux and a windows computer - even though the first thing the windows one did was freeze. ;)

been feeling weird the past few days. just a little off, this little cold thing is making me tired and puffy and...weird feeling. so i'm sucking down more tea today and using my tuesday to recuperate. :)

yesterday, i went to the beach in the evening, while the power was out and the wind was blowing so hard there were branches down everywhere.

the beach was really dramatic. the clouds were really low, and blowing so they were moving across the sky like a herd of ethereal buffalo (:)). the wind was blowing out to sea, so the waves weren't as big as they could have been (like they were last year)

there was intense spray though, and the sea was foamy, and the sand blew so hard at our backs it was like millions of tiny stings. the sun was breaking through the clouds to the west, in orange because it was sunset.

i think the ocean remembered. there was a hurricane out to sea last year on that day, and the waves were huge then even though the sky was beautiful and blue and clear. and yesterday, there was a hurricane out at sea, but the waves weren't big, the sky wasn't clear - but it was strange, like it couldn't be normal, because it knew that i remembered, and that i was using it as a barometer of sorts, and not to predict the weather.

so today was my first day of school

it was Great, except for the pouring rain in the morning that made me all wet for 3 of my classes. :) i'll tell you all about it tomorrow. :)

you know, i used to laugh when barb told nellie and i that we should meditate while doing the dishes - on washing each glass, on drying it, the running water...it sounded so silly.

but there's so much wisdom in paying attention, even if it's just to how water looks when it's running over glass.
